Disappointing weekend for Jim Pla at Zandvoort
Formula BMW Europe drivers raced in the second round of the series at Zandvoort last weekend, but the historic circuit located along the North Sea didn't provide Gravity driver Jim Pla with a memorable result.
The Frenchman's car suffered handling problems in qualifying which put him in an unfavourable position on the grid of each race.
"It was a fairly complicated weekend. We had problems with set up and tyre pressures during qualifying and that led to a lack of grip in the first race which I finished in 11th position. Things went a little better in the second round in which I was 8th. Overall, I guess it was good preparation for Silverstone and I'll be aiming to fight at the front next weekend."
