Formula BMW Europe : Jim Pla on second row at Monza
The last couple of rounds of the Formula BMW Europe series will see Jim Pla, victorious at Valencia and Spa, line up on the second row of Saturday’s grid and on pole position on Sunday. The Frenchman will be looking to extend his impressive winning streak at the Italian final venue.
“I was only 8th this morning but the car was oversteering a lot and was sprund a little too soft, which was particularly a problem when riding the kurbs, which are higher here compared to last year. We changed the car for qualifying and the performance was immediately improved, I was even fastest towards the end of the session with three laps under the 2 minute barrier. And thanks to second my second best time, I'll be on pole for Sunday's race. I’m certainly confident for tomorrow and will be aiming for a win or at least a podium finish in both races and also in the final championship standings. "
