Jim Pla embarks on a second season in Formula BMW Europe
Sixteen year-old Gravity driver Jim Pla learned the ropes in Formula BMW Europe last year, achieving some impressive performances in the later part of the season. The teenager French driver will be embarking on a second season in the junior formula series, once again with the DAMS team.
“It’s my second season in the BMW Europe Championship with DAMS. Today, I know the team, the car and the circuits we’ll race on very well. My aim is to be on the pace right from the start and fight at the front. Given my performances at the end of 2008, it looks possible.”
The team will be undergoing a series of tests before the season kicks off in Barcelona on may 9/10. The Formula BMW Europe championship will again feature eight events this coming year. Seven of them will be on the support programme of Formula One.
