Monza Formula BMW finale: Jim Pla ends on a high...
Pursuing his end of season impressive form, Jim Pla once again put in a couple of very good performances this weekend during the final rounds of the 2008 Formula BMW Europe series. “I had a good start in Saturday’s race and moved up to 8th after four laps, commented the youngest of all the Formula BMW drivers. But then I spun after hitting a kerb and finally finished 10th.” On Sunday, Pla put in a tremendous display, starting 11th but charging up the order, fast and furious, to cross the line in fourth position ! “We’ve really made some great progress in the last few races, said Pla. The team has improved and my confidence has followed. I also believe the fast tracks like Spa and Monza suit me well. I’ve learned my trade this year and I’m absolutely ready to reap the benefits of this first season in 2009.”
