Valencia Formula BMW: some improvement for Jim Pla
Jim Pla continued his apprenticeship in the Formula BMW series this weekend, learning the ropes of Valencia's street circuit. "I qualified well for race 1, with a middle grid position but got involved in a tangle on the first lap, forcing me to pit for a new nose cone. The steering was also bent but I still went back out to gain some mileage for Sunday's race, finishing 19th. That was also my position at the end of race 2, in which I fought with a pack of drivers without being able to fully exploit the car's potential. Following Kevin Breysse's good performance, the team is making progress and I will do my best in the last rounds to take advantage of this."
