Valencia qualifying: Jim Pla on the first part of the grid
Formula BMW's youngest driver, Jim Pla, qualified 14th and 13th for the series weekend rounds at Valencia. "The team is making good progress as Kevin Breysse's pole position shows", said the Gravity French junior. "On my part, I had some difficulty identifying the correct braking points in the morning's free session but then I did a lap behind Adrien Tambay and that helped me. In qualifying, I got held up by another driver on my two fast laps which was a pity because I believe a top 10 placing would have been possible. That will be my aim for the race tomorrow."
